In 2025, Westlake Productions took audiences on a magic carpet ride to the streets of Agrabah with Disney’s Aladdin Jr. — a vibrant musical packed with adventure, comedy, colourful characters, and plenty of magic!

Based on the beloved Disney film, Aladdin Jr. follows Aladdin, a young dreamer who finds himself caught up in a world of genies, royal palaces, and a power-hungry villain. With iconic songs including “A Whole New World,” “Friend Like Me,” and “Prince Ali,” the production brought the colourful world of Agrabah to life on stage.

As part of Westlake Productions’ 48-Hour Musical Challenge, students came together to create an entire production in just 48 hours. More than 110 students auditioned, with students taking on roles both onstage and behind the scenes — from performers and musicians to choreographers, musical direction, technical production, costumes, and backstage crew.
