'Les Misérables' is a powerful musical based on Victor Hugo's novel, set against the backdrop of 19th-century France. The story follows the journey of Jean Valjean, a former convict seeking redemption after being released from prison. Pursued relentlessly by the determined Inspector Javert, Valjean’s life intertwines with a host of characters, including the tragic Fantine, her daughter Cosette, and a group of idealistic students preparing for a revolutionary uprising. Themes of justice, love, sacrifice, and the struggle for freedom resonate throughout the sweeping and emotional narrative, set to a score filled with iconic songs like "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," and "Do You Hear the People Sing?".
