'The Three Musketeers' is a swashbuckling adventure novel by Alexandre Dumas. Set in 17th-century France, the story follows D'Artagnan, a young and aspiring swordsman who leaves his home to join the elite musketeers of the guard. Upon arriving in Paris, he befriends the three most skilled musketeers: Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. Together, they become embroiled in political intrigue and battles against the schemes of Cardinal Richelieu and his agents. The novel is a tale of camaraderie, honour, and adventure, as the four friends navigate dangerous conspiracies, romantic entanglements, and daring duels, always guided by their motto: "All for one and one for all."
