Three Birds Alighting on a Field' is a sharp, satirical comedy by Timberlake Wertenbaker that delves into the world of art, culture, and the absurdities of the upper class. The play follows the lives of three individuals—an art dealer, a nouveau riche couple, and a middle-class art enthusiast—who navigate the pretentious art scene and their own insecurities. Through witty dialogue and biting humour, the play critiques the commodification of art, social climbing, and the clash between genuine passion and superficiality in modern society.
